Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in different ways:
- by completing the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and either leaving it at the surgery in the ‘Repeat Prescriptions Box’
- or sending it to us by post (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for us to return it to you)
- You can also order repeat prescriptions online via Patient Access.
For your own safety this practice does not accept medication requests by telephone.
Allow two working days for us to process your request, including those prescribed by Hospital Consultants, and a further period for the Pharmacist to make up your medication.
If you have arranged to use the Electronic Prescription Service, your prescription will be sent electronically to the Pharmacy you have nominated. Click here to find out more on the EPS procedure on the NHS website here.
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
You need to register to use our online repeat prescription ordering service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
Medication reviews
All patients should request their Review before the date shown on their Prescription Form, via the Online the Consulting Service, in order to avoid delays in getting further medication.
If a patient is over the age of 65 and on eight or more medications then the Clinical Pharmacist will contact the patient by phone to arrange the medication review. They will normally be contacted in their birthday month but may vary slightly depending on how busy the pharmacy team is or what there current staffing levels are like.
If a patient is over 65 and on seven or less medications, or is under the age of 65, then a medication review questionnaire will be sent out from Kenmore to the patients for them to complete. The results of the questionnaire will be reviewed by the usual GP who will then update the review date or ask for the patient to be booked in for a follow up appointment.
