Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in different ways:
- by completing the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and either leaving it at the surgery in the ‘Repeat Prescriptions Box’
- or sending it to us by post (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for us to return it to you)
- You can also order repeat prescriptions online via Patient Access.
For your own safety this practice does not accept medication requests by telephone.
Allow two working days for us to process your request, including those prescribed by Hospital Consultants, and a further period for the Pharmacist to make up your medication.
If you have arranged to use the Electronic Prescription Service, your prescription will be sent electronically to the Pharmacy you have nominated. Click here to find out more on the EPS procedure on the NHS website here.
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
You need to register to use our online repeat prescription ordering service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
Medication reviews
All patients should request their Review before the date shown on their Prescription Form, via the Online the Consulting Service, in order to avoid delays in getting further medication.
For patients who take 10 or more medications, the review will be conducted by the Clinical Pharmacists. For those patients who take less than 10 medications, they will be asked to complete a questionnaire to provide up to date medical information and then given an appointment with the Health Care Assistant who will take their blood pressure, blood samples for testing and check their weight. If these results are within acceptable limits, no further reviews will be needed. If not, the patient will be given an appointment to see a Doctor. You should make an appointment before the date of the review in order to avoid delays in getting further medications.
