Opening Times

Our opening times are:

  • 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
  • 8.00am to 8.30pm Wednesday and Thursday.

Training Afternoons.

On approximately eight Wednesday afternoons a year the Practice will be closed for staff training. We appologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however this training is a vital part of the service we provide. The Surgery will close at 1.00pm and re-open at 6.30pm for booked appointments only. The dates are advertised well in advance at the entrance, on the Practice website and in the Patients Group Newsletter. During these afternoons please request prescriptions online or post them through the letterbox by the main entrance.

Out-Of-Hours Service

If you have a medical incident when the surgery is closed, call 111 or 999 depending on the severity of the problem.

NHS 111 Service

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. You will be connected to a highly trained advisor, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobiles.

Accident & Emergency

Only visit Accident and Emergency for life-threatening emergencies. Macclesfield Hospital A & E is open 24/7. For someone seriously ill or injured, their life is at risk, unconscious, has severe chest pain, has trouble breathing or bleeding badly. CALL 999.

Making use of your local Pharmacist

Your local pharmacist can help you decide what medications to keep at home which can help with common conditions like thrush, cystitis and conjunctivitis. They can offer confidential advice and medicines for various conditions. Pharmacists are available to assist you without an appointment, in privacy, up to six days a week. Keep your pharmacist informed about any changes in your personal medical profile and tell them about any over-the-counter medications, herbal remedies, vitamins or dietary supplements you might be taking.
