Dental Helpline

Patient presents in-hours and has routine care with a GDP and fits the above criteria.


Refer patient to their routine care GDP for an urgent care appointment.

Patient presents out-of-hours and has routine care with a GDP and fits the above criteria.


Refer patient to the Dental Helpline.

Patient presents in-hours or out-of-hours (up to 9.29pm) and does not have routine care with a GDP and fits the above criteria.


Refer patient to the Dental Helplines.

Patient presents between the hours of 9.30pm and 9.00am and fits the above criteria and is unable to wait for a next day in-hours appointment or is considered an emergency.


Refer patient to A&E.

Triage / Helpline

Patient will be triaged and if they meet the above clinical criteria, they will be offered an appointment at their local urgent care clinic.

If their local clinics are not available, they may be offered an appointment at an alternative location, within Cheshire and Merseyside.
