Locum Doctors

At times the practice employs locum (temporary) doctors to stand in for its own doctors. All are registered with the Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust.

Training Doctors

In the tradition of general practitioner training, fully qualified doctors (GP Registrars) who have chosen a career in general practice spend their final year with the practice to gain further experience, under the care of one of the practice's qualified GP trainers. Occasionally our GP Registrar may see patients in the presence of their trainer. During their year with the practice they will be expected to video several actual consultations with patients, but this will only take place with the patient's permission.

Receptionists

The receptionists are trained to handle the wide variety of enquiries received by telephone or directly at the surgery. They may request additional information in order to direct the enquiry most efficiently to a doctor or nurse.
