HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN REPEAT REQUESTS AND PRESCRIPTION REVIEWS?
Prescribed drug treatments are offered by mutual consent with patients; any possible
side-effects are explained. Medication regimes are reviewed by doctors regularly - review dates are printed on the prescriptions. You should make an appointment before the date of the review. Please retain a copy of your list of repeat medications for your own information and safety, even if you leave a copy with your pharmacist.
If you are on regular medication, repeat prescriptions can be requested:
• by post (enclose a stamped addressed envelope)
• by using the "repeat prescription box" at the main surgery entrance, when the surgery is
open, or posted through the rear entrance door when the surgery is closed.
• by fax 01625 417900
• if registered for internet booking, using emis access.
For your own Safety this Practice does not accept Medication Requests by Telephone
Allow two working days for processing of prescriptions, including those supplied to you by consultants/specialists you may have seen at other clinics/hospitals. In order not to waste medication, please check your medicine cupboard before requesting renewals.
Certain local pharmacies have arrangements for direct collection of repeat prescriptions after you have requested them from the practice; see your pharmacist to arrange this.
